Where
prices are shown as inclusive of VAT these are at the current rate. Prices will
be adjusted accordingly should this rate change.
Prices are
subject to alteration without prior notice, however, all prices are confirmed
when orders are acknowledged by The Old Radiator Company. It is the
responsibility of the purchaser to ensure all details on our order
acknowledgement are correct.
Delivery The period
quoted for delivery is a guideline only. The Old Radiator Company does not
accept responsibility for delays caused by mis-instruction, manufacturing
delays, strikes, traffic conditions or adverse weather. Delay times may be
extended during the holiday periods and workshop closures. It is advisable that
no installation should be arranged until the goods have been received and
checked. The Old Radiator Company will not be held responsible for any
arrangement of installation prior to receipt and acceptance of the goods and
any charges therein.
Shortages,
Scratched or Damaged Radiators
• Packaging is free and non-returnable.
• The goods must be checked and signed for in the presence of the carrier.
All
products must be inspected once removed from the packaging and The Old Radiator
Company notified within 48 hours of delivery of any scratches, blemishes or
other damage. Imperfect radiators
should, therefore, not be fitted and The Old Radiator Company will not accept
responsibility for replacement of scratched or damaged radiators once they have
been fitted. This includes any consequential loss or cost of fitting. If The
Old Radiator Company are not notified within 48 hours of the date on the signed
delivery note then it will be deemed that The Old Radiator Company have fully
complied with its obligations and claims will not be considered.
• Failure to comply with any of the above may invalidate any claims.
• We recommend that after you check the product on delivery that it is stored
in its packaging to prevent damage. The Old Radiator Company cannot accept
responsibility for items damaged after delivery.
The Old
Radiator Company will ensure that goods are delivered in good order and cannot
accept any responsibility for any damages that occur after delivery. Signing of
the delivery note will be determined as acceptance that goods have been
delivered in good order at the time of delivery.
Deliveries
by HGV are kerbside only and we do not accept any responsibility for damage to
property if our driver is invited into the aforementioned property, this is at
the customer’s own risk.
Guarantees and Liabilities Many of the goods we sell and supply are
reclaimed or salvaged and as such are individual items. These items can be over 100 years old and
will, in some instances, have minor imperfections that are characteristic of
their age.
A
one-year guarantee is given with the reclaimed radiators. This is subject to the product being
installed by a competent person. The
guarantees in all cases are restricted to the free of charge replacement or
repair of the failed product only. Our
liability does not extend beyond the repair or replacement of the product
supplied by us. Claims for either
labour or damage to property are not admissible.
It is important that you satisfy yourself that the condition, quality and
function of the goods is suitable for the purpose and use required. If you
are not sure then you must advise The Old Radiator Company of this at the
time of purchase. If The Old Radiator Company accept the returns and
they are not bespoke items, then a restocking charge of 20% will be deducted
from the refund, which will be the invoice price of the goods plus any carriage
charges incurred. All bespoke items are
returnable at the discretion of The Old
Radiator Company and subject to a restocking fee.
Items will only be considered for return if in the same condition as first
delivered.
Items will not be considered for return if they have been installed, used or
altered in any way, shape or form.
The cost of returning items is for the client's account.
The
Old Radiator Company cannot be held responsible for the damage caused to
radiators if the system is subjected to freezing conditions and for any consequential
loss or subsequent costs arising from this damage.
In the case of accessories, such as valves and brackets, being returned in an
unused and sound condition within 7 days a restocking charge of 20% will be
deducted from the refund, which will be the invoice price of the goods plus any
carriage costs incurred. No returns
will be accepted after 7 days. New goods, which prove to be faulty in
manufacture, will be replaced subject to such goods being returned in the same
condition as delivered.
Consequential
Loss. The Old Radiator Company accepts no
responsibility for any consequential loss or subsequent costs howsoever arising
from the use of new or reclaimed materials supplied by The Old Radiator
Company.
Payment
of goods Payment
must be made in full and be cleared funds prior to delivery. Any goods not fully paid for will remain the
property of The Old Radiator Company until full, cleared payment has been
received.
Cancellations Once acknowledged by The Old Radiator Company orders
cannot be cancelled except with our consent and on terms that will indemnify us
against any loss. These will be advised at the time of cancellation, if
required.
Orders for
non-standard products including RAL colours and optional tapping positions once
acknowledged by The Old Radiator Company cannot be cancelled without full
charge.
Return of
goods Under no circumstances can we accept returned goods after
six months of delivery without prior written acknowledgement. All goods must be
suitably wrapped for transportation. All goods are subject to a minimum
re-stocking charge of 20%.
Technical If
requiring a radiator with optional positions for plugs and bushes, these must
be specified at the time of ordering, otherwise the radiator will be supplied
with B.O.E. (Bottom Opposite End) connections as standard. The radiator bushes fitted to the radiator
at time of refurbishment will be 15mm unless otherwise specified at the time of
ordering.
Paint
Finishes There may be a slight variation in the colour of the
delivered radiator/s from the colours shown on the website and colour
charts. This is due to manufacturing
tolerances in the paint or light conditions of any photographs taken showing
the examples of the finishes we can supply.
Adjusting
Pipe Work Prior To Delivery Whilst we endeavour to ensure all
pipe centre dimensions are correct, tolerances must be considered, therefore,
we strongly recommend that pipe work is not altered or adjusted until the
radiator is fixed in its final position. The Old Radiator Company will not
accept any responsibility for any claims relating to inaccurate pipe centre
information.
Commissioning
The
Old Radiator Company recommend a suitable inhibitor and inline filter is used
to protect against scale, corrosion and bacterial growth in all types of
indirect central heating systems including those containing aluminium.
