BTU Calculator |
The efficiency of radiators, old and new, is measured in British Thermal Units (BTU). The dimensions of a room are used to calculate the amount of BTU needed to heat that room. Radiators all have a known and calculated BTU output. Using the BTU outputs in the PRICE LIST it is easy to calculate the size of radiator you need to heat your room. CALCULATION OF HEAT OUTPUT & LENGTH OF RADIATOR 1. Choose your style of radiator - see Radiator Styles 2. Look on the
Price List for the BTU/Watt output per section of your chosen
radiator, 3. Divide your required BTU output
needed to heat your room (as supplied by 4. Look on the
Price List for the section length of the radiator style you have
chosen, 5. Multiply the number of sections
needed (see your BTU calculation in 3. above) by 6. Add an allowance of 75mm at each end
for the valves to derive the overall wall HOW TO CALCULATE BTU In the first instance - ask your plumber to perform the calculation for you. Or, ask your butler to ask your plumber. Don't have a butler? Don't have a plumber and getting nowhere? Telephone us with the dimensions of your room and we will perform the calculation for you or try our new BTU Calculator
